Boarding NCL Spirit- June 4th

My day started with another walk in Central Park. I then had the breakfast buffet in the hotel. A little later, I walked to the Incheon Urban Development Museum. Mostly, I was killing time before I needed to go to the cruise port, but I found the museum interesting. It's a walk through the history of the city, depicting the influences of Japan and China (think wars and occupations) to US, UK, and German influences later. As a history buff, I thought it was both educational and inspirational.

At 11:00, I checked out of the hotel and took a taxi to the cruise port. It took less than 40 minutes from the time I got out of the taxi to being aboard the ship with a drink in my hand. Absolutely the best boarding experience I have ever had.

I was pleased to find a cigar lounge aboard. Many ships have done away with them. This one is way up on the top deck and is well provisioned with leather chairs and great views.

We got underway at 4 p.m., as scheduled. I'm impressed with the condition of the ship. It's the oldest in the NCL fleet and is in better condition than many others. The solo balcony cabin I am in is a bit smaller than some, but plenty of room for me. No complaints.

Be sure to check out the pictures from Incheon. Tomorrow we hit the first port-of-call, Jeju Island, S. Korea. I'll take more pictures and post them soon!
